Minimum Program - By joining ROSY, you uphold these principles and meet the requirements to join:

1. We work to oppose imperialist economic, cultural and political subjugation of Australia and its people. The main enemy of the world is imperialism, in Australia, it is primarily American imperialism. We must work to build a strong link between the students, petty bourgeois, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, workers, intellectuals, small business owners and work to lead the student anti-imperialist anti-colonial struggle in Australia.

2. We oppose Australian expansionism and its continued subjugation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. Imperialists will never be able to colonially dominate a people without creating local collaborators to rule on their behalf, and this today is the make up of our current government. The movement to support the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander struggle and their right to self determination is integral to the anti-imperialist movement and liberation of the working class.

3. We work to develop a new revolutionary culture, one built on the foundation of anti-imperialism. Without this culture, we will be unable to unite our people. Our local culture and arts are continuously put aside for imperialist culture and arts, leaving our artists no opportunity to grow.

4. We must further our work to build strong ties to students, to address the flaws within our education systems, and further address the repression faced by students participating in progressive struggles. Our current education systems work to serve American imperialism and our local collaborators, with all degrees and courses that do not see a use for the imperialists continuing to be cut down and underfunded. This prevents our people from developing their path in life and propagandises them.

5. We must work to build and support a militant working class movement and intertwine the student and working masses. The workers are a key link to sustaining the student and youth movement for a prolonged period of time, without their support we will see our movement fall and become isolated.

6. We must link our New Democratic struggle to the larger progressive New Democratic and anti-imperialist struggle around the world. Our liberation in Australia stems from the dismantling of imperialist aggression on the oppressed peoples here and people across the world. Our struggle is against a common enemy, imperialism.

7. We must participate in and support the struggle for women’s liberation, as women hold up half our sky. Liberalism can not bring true emancipation for women but continue to subject them to violence and oppression.

8. We must work to build strong links to LGBTQIA+ peoples and provide support to marginalised groups. Similarly to the women’s liberation struggle, we must also participate in and support the LGBTQIA+ community. In a similar case to the struggle for women's liberation, liberalism cannot abolish the discrimination, homelessness and violence they face.

   We acknowledge that the contradictions of the system we live in cannot be resolved through reform.
